In our 3 part mini series of how to automate your car from the 90’s, I briefly touched base on it’s possible to do it from your iPhone, the set up and application for it is a little different but still able to be done.
First off, you will want to download and install a few applications. For the first you have a couple of choices here. Either Launch Center Pro ($4.99), or Workflow ($2.99) you can do the research on both to see which you like more, but they both will need a App called IFTTT (If This Than That) which is free. The service allows you to do things such as when it is x time do y thing. Or if I enter x place, do y thing. it’s what will help you automate your car through this app.
From here, there is a lot you can do. You can create a workflow or a Launch Center command that when you’re in your car, you activate this, and depending on how you set it up, you can get it to start a google search and from there say where you want to go, and once you are done, it plays music. Again with this, the possibilities are almost endless.
In the final part of this series, we will cover a handy little device that can do quite a bit in your car. Until next time, stay safe and don’t text and drive!
