Printing Options On UW’s Campus – For the Procrastinator in All of Us.

OH NO!! Attack of The Printer Error!!

It’s the eleventh hour, you’ve just finished your 20 page final report for that class you need an A in, you have 15 minutes to give a hard copy of the report to your professor who is across campus and now your printer is out of ink. Crap!! What do you do?

Well the first and foremost when this happens is not to panic, for the love of… I mean don’t worry the computer labs on campus have this under control. At the University of Wyoming you have the privilege of having dozens of computer labs at your fingertips. Of those dozens there are 8 labs across campus that are open a majority of the days and two labs, Coe Library and ITC are open 24 hours a day, most of which have printers. Find a full schedule list here.

So now that you know that there are labs that are open at just about anytime you still need to get that report printed, what are your options? Well there are 67 computer labs on campus that have a printers in them, not all of those printers are available for students to use so here is a link for a list of available printers in the different labs. All eight of the open labs have at least one black and white printer, and most have two, ITC, Union 33,  Business 167 and Biological Sciences 37 all have color printers and Fine Arts  118 does have a specialty large format printer.

The final piece of information you will need to know before you panic about printing issues is making sure that your account has plenty of print quota money. You can check how much you have by holding your mouse over the $ sign in the left corner of the start menu. If your account is running a little low you can use the online Print Quota Utility, or you can visit ITC for adding money via cash.

There you have it, your DON’T PANIC! you will be all right guide to making sure you get your report, project, paper or whatever printed and turned in on time.
